Athens Ohio Radioshack 2022

In terms of this post and Athens Ohio Radioshack…Radio Shack much of you most likely think the store has actually been gone for years after all the business filed for insolvency in 2015 and closed most company-owned shops a few years later the key word there is company-owned stores dealer shops that were owned by independent entrepreneur stayed open one of them occurred to be within an hour and a half drive at my area brand-new holland pennsylvania amish country here’s some shots of the beyond the radio shack what i truly liked is how the structure sort of looked like an actual shack here’s the within the radio shack it looks precisely as i remember pretty much any kind of electronic or accessory can consider this shop most likely has the very first wall consisted of a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and chargers as some of you probably keep in mind to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas featuring the infamous antenna i inform individuals not to buy however they buy it anyhow for those of you who are not knowledgeable about what i think of this model here is a brief clip this model it’s junk scrap

What happened to RadioShack? Athens Ohio Radioshack

scrap this piece of junk [Music] the model was in fact set up outdoors and hooked into a television set i went through the channels and just as i expected it was not getting the abc affiliate whtm which relays on the vhf band this antenna design is known to not perform well for vhf what’s so ironic is behind the structures were some actually excellent older antenna models regardless of my criticism of this antenna model i can understand why the owners choose to sell and show it it’s smaller sized and more customer friendly the average person does not want a huge antenna on their roofing system despite the much better efficiency or in this case getting the harrisburg abc affiliate the next design over had walkie-talkies and some diodes the next design had pretty much any sort of av cable and adapter you can possibly imagine this used to be my favorite area because i’m also a wedding event videographer and many times i would go to a wedding event and forget a specific audio cable television needed for the microphone throughout the ceremony and there ‘d constantly be a radio shack close-by i could stop at sadly that’s no longer the case another aisle featured merges battery ports and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you believe devices for installing an outside antenna installing brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the very same wall there were video cable televisions and devices some two-way radios phone wires phones themselves and smart device devices including this actually cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios take a look at all of them designs in the middle of the shop had automobile stereo accessories speaker wire ethernet cable televisions computer cables blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally buy a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get dirty
