In terms of this post and Radioshack Chilton…Radio Shack much of you probably think the shop has been chosen years after all the business filed for personal bankruptcy in 2015 and closed most company-owned stores a couple of years later the key word there is company-owned shops dealership shops that were owned by independent company owner remained open among them occurred to be within a half and an hour drive at my place brand-new holland pennsylvania amish nation here’s some shots of the outside of the radio shack what i truly loved is how the structure kind of resembled a real shack here’s the inside of the radio shack it looks precisely as i remember basically any sort of electronic or device can consider this shop probably has the very first wall consisted of a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and battery chargers as some of you probably keep in mind to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas featuring the infamous antenna i inform individuals not to purchase but they buy it anyway for those of you who are not knowledgeable about what i consider this design here is a short clip this design it’s scrap scrap
What happened to RadioShack? Radioshack Chilton
scrap this piece of junk [Music] the design was in fact set up outdoors and hooked into a tv set i went through the channels and just as i expected it was not getting the abc affiliate whtm which relays on the vhf band this antenna model is known to not perform well for vhf what’s so ironic lags the structures were some really excellent older antenna designs despite my criticism of this antenna design i can comprehend why the owners decide to sell and display it it’s smaller sized and more customer friendly the average person doesn’t desire a big antenna on their roofing in spite of the much better efficiency or in this case gaining the harrisburg abc affiliate the next design over had walkie-talkies and some diodes the next design had pretty much any type of av cable and adapter imaginable this utilized to be my preferred section since i’m also a wedding videographer and many times i would go to a wedding and forget a particular audio cable needed for the microphone during the ceremony and there ‘d constantly be a radio shack close-by i could stop at regrettably that’s no longer the case another aisle included fuses battery adapters and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you believe devices for installing an outside antenna mounting brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the exact same wall there were video cable televisions and accessories some two-way radios phone wires phones themselves and mobile phone devices including this truly cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios look at all of them styles in the middle of the store had automobile stereo accessories speaker wire ethernet cable televisions computer cable televisions blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally purchase a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get filthy
