In terms of this post and Radioshack Fort Worth Texas…Radio Shack many of you probably think the store has been gone for years after all the business declared bankruptcy in 2015 and closed most company-owned stores a few years later the key word there is company-owned shops dealer stores that were owned by independent business owners stayed open among them took place to be within an hour and a half drive at my place new holland pennsylvania amish country here’s some shots of the outside of the radio shack what i really liked is how the structure sort of looked like a real shack here’s the within the radio shack it looks precisely as i remember practically any sort of electronic or device can think of this store most likely has the very first wall consisted of a lot of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and chargers as some of you probably keep in mind to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas including the notorious antenna i tell people not to buy but they buy it anyway for those of you who are not familiar with what i think about this model here is a brief clip this design it’s scrap scrap
What happened to RadioShack? Radioshack Fort Worth Texas
scrap this piece of junk [Music] the design was really set up outdoors and hooked into a television set i went through the channels and just as i expected it was not getting the abc affiliate whtm which broadcasts on the vhf band this antenna design is known to not carry out well for vhf what’s so paradoxical lags the buildings were some really excellent older antenna designs despite my criticism of this antenna design i can understand why the owners choose to offer and show it it’s smaller sized and more customer friendly the typical individual does not desire a huge antenna on their roofing despite the better performance or in this case gaining the harrisburg abc affiliate the next style over had two-way radios and some diodes the next style had pretty much any sort of av cable television and adapter imaginable this used to be my favorite section since i’m also a wedding videographer and many times i would go to a wedding and forget a specific audio cable required for the microphone throughout the event and there ‘d always be a radio shack close-by i could stop at unfortunately that’s no longer the case another aisle featured merges battery ports and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you think devices for mounting an outside antenna mounting brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the very same wall there were video cable televisions and devices some two-way radios phone wires phones themselves and smartphone devices including this truly cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios take a look at all of them designs in the middle of the shop had cars and truck stereo devices speaker wire ethernet cable televisions computer cables blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally purchase a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get unclean
