In terms of this post and Radioshack History 5000 Stores…Radio Shack a number of you probably believe the shop has been opted for years after all the business declared personal bankruptcy in 2015 and closed most company-owned shops a couple of years later the key word there is company-owned stores dealership stores that were owned by independent business owners stayed open among them occurred to be within an hour and a half drive at my area brand-new holland pennsylvania amish country here’s some shots of the beyond the radio shack what i really loved is how the structure sort of looked like a real shack here’s the inside of the radio shack it looks exactly as i keep in mind basically any sort of electronic or device can consider this shop probably has the first wall consisted of a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and battery chargers as some of you most likely keep in mind to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas including the infamous antenna i tell people not to purchase however they buy it anyway for those of you who are not knowledgeable about what i think of this design here is a brief clip this design it’s junk scrap

junk this piece of junk [Music] the model was in fact installed outdoors and hooked into a television set i went through the channels and just as i anticipated it was not picking up the abc affiliate whtm which transmits on the vhf band this antenna design is known to not perform well for vhf what’s so paradoxical is behind the structures were some truly great older antenna designs regardless of my criticism of this antenna model i can understand why the owners choose to sell and show it it’s smaller and more consumer friendly the typical person doesn’t want a huge antenna on their roof in spite of the better performance or in this case gaining the harrisburg abc affiliate the next design over had two-way radios and some diodes the next style had basically any type of av cable and adapter you can possibly imagine this used to be my favorite section because i’m likewise a wedding videographer and many times i would go to a wedding event and forget a particular audio cable television required for the microphone throughout the event and there ‘d constantly be a radio shack nearby i might stop at unfortunately that’s no longer the case another aisle featured fuses battery adapters and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you believe devices for mounting an outside antenna installing brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the exact same wall there were video cable televisions and devices some walkie-talkies phone wires phones themselves and smartphone devices including this truly cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios take a look at all of them designs in the middle of the store had automobile stereo accessories speaker wire ethernet cables computer system cable televisions blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally buy a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get dirty
