In terms of this post and Radioshack Store Jefferson Mall Ny…Radio Shack much of you probably believe the shop has been gone for years after all the company applied for personal bankruptcy in 2015 and closed most company-owned shops a couple of years later the keyword there is company-owned shops dealer shops that were owned by independent entrepreneur stayed open one of them occurred to be within a half and an hour drive at my area brand-new holland pennsylvania amish nation here’s some shots of the outside of the radio shack what i truly enjoyed is how the structure kind of resembled an actual shack here’s the inside of the radio shack it looks exactly as i remember pretty much any sort of electronic or device can think about this shop most likely has the first wall contained a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and battery chargers as some of you most likely remember to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas featuring the infamous antenna i inform people not to purchase but they buy it anyway for those of you who are not knowledgeable about what i think about this design here is a brief clip this design it’s junk junk
What happened to RadioShack? Radioshack Store Jefferson Mall Ny
scrap this piece of junk [Music] the model was in fact installed outside and hooked into a tv set i went through the channels and just as i anticipated it was not getting the abc affiliate whtm which broadcasts on the vhf band this antenna design is understood to not perform well for vhf what’s so paradoxical is behind the buildings were some truly great older antenna models despite my criticism of this antenna model i can understand why the owners decide to sell and display it it’s smaller sized and more customer friendly the typical individual does not want a huge antenna on their roofing in spite of the better efficiency or in this case acquiring the harrisburg abc affiliate the next style over had two-way radios and some diodes the next style had basically any sort of av cable television and adapter imaginable this used to be my favorite section because i’m also a wedding event videographer and often times i would go to a wedding and forget a specific audio cable required for the microphone during the event and there ‘d always be a radio shack close-by i might stop at unfortunately that’s no longer the case another aisle featured merges battery connectors and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you believe devices for installing an outside antenna installing brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the exact same wall there were video cable televisions and accessories some walkie-talkies phone wires phones themselves and smart device devices including this really cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios look at all of them styles in the middle of the store had car stereo devices speaker wire ethernet cables computer cables blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally purchase a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get unclean
