In terms of this post and When Did Radioshack Go Out Of Business?…Radio Shack much of you most likely think the store has been gone for years after all the company declared bankruptcy in 2015 and closed most company-owned stores a couple of years later on the key word there is company-owned shops dealership shops that were owned by independent business owners remained open among them took place to be within an hour and a half drive at my area new holland pennsylvania amish nation here’s some shots of the beyond the radio shack what i truly loved is how the structure type of resembled a real shack here’s the within the radio shack it looks precisely as i keep in mind basically any sort of electronic or accessory can think about this shop probably has the first wall included a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and battery chargers as a few of you probably remember to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas featuring the infamous antenna i inform people not to buy however they buy it anyhow for those of you who are not familiar with what i consider this model here is a brief clip this design it’s scrap junk
What happened to RadioShack? When Did Radioshack Go Out Of Business?
junk this piece of junk [Music] the design was in fact installed outside and hooked into a television set i went through the channels and just as i anticipated it was not getting the abc affiliate whtm which transmits on the vhf band this antenna design is understood to not carry out well for vhf what’s so ironic lags the structures were some really good older antenna designs despite my criticism of this antenna model i can understand why the owners decide to sell and show it it’s smaller sized and more customer friendly the average person does not want a big antenna on their roofing regardless of the better performance or in this case acquiring the harrisburg abc affiliate the next style over had two-way radios and some diodes the next style had pretty much any kind of av cable television and adapter possible this used to be my preferred section because i’m also a wedding event videographer and often times i would go to a wedding and forget a specific audio cable television required for the microphone during the event and there ‘d always be a radio shack neighboring i might stop at unfortunately that’s no longer the case another aisle featured fuses battery connectors and a bunch of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you think accessories for installing an outdoor antenna mounting brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the very same wall there were video cable televisions and accessories some walkie-talkies phone wires phones themselves and smartphone devices including this truly cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios take a look at all of them designs in the middle of the store had cars and truck stereo devices speaker wire ethernet cables computer system cable televisions blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally purchase a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get dirty
