In terms of this post and When Does Radioshack Open…Radio Shack a lot of you probably think the store has been gone for years after all the company filed for insolvency in 2015 and closed most company-owned stores a couple of years later on the keyword there is company-owned stores dealer stores that were owned by independent company owner stayed open among them happened to be within an hour and a half drive at my location new holland pennsylvania amish nation here’s some shots of the outside of the radio shack what i actually enjoyed is how the structure sort of resembled an actual shack here’s the inside of the radio shack it looks precisely as i remember pretty much any kind of electronic or device can think of this store probably has the first wall consisted of a bunch of cb radios and antennas the wall behind the counter held batteries and chargers as some of you most likely keep in mind to the right of the counter was a wall with some antennas featuring the infamous antenna i tell people not to buy however they buy it anyhow for those of you who are not familiar with what i think about this design here is a short clip this design it’s scrap junk

scrap this piece of junk [Music] the design was really installed outdoors and hooked into a tv set i went through the channels and just as i expected it was not picking up the abc affiliate whtm which relays on the vhf band this antenna model is known to not carry out well for vhf what’s so paradoxical lags the structures were some truly great older antenna designs despite my criticism of this antenna design i can understand why the owners choose to offer and show it it’s smaller and more consumer friendly the average individual does not want a huge antenna on their roofing regardless of the much better performance or in this case getting the harrisburg abc affiliate the next design over had walkie-talkies and some diodes the next design had practically any kind of av cable television and adapter imaginable this used to be my favorite section since i’m also a wedding event videographer and sometimes i would go to a wedding and forget a specific audio cable television required for the microphone during the event and there ‘d always be a radio shack neighboring i could stop at unfortunately that’s no longer the case another aisle included fuses battery connectors and a lot of wires here’s a wall of transistors and would you believe accessories for installing an outdoor antenna installing brackets amplifiers and even a rotator as i continued down the very same wall there were video cables and devices some two-way radios phone wires phones themselves and mobile phone accessories including this actually cool bluetooth cassette adapter it can’t be a radio shack without radios look at all of them designs in the middle of the store had vehicle stereo devices speaker wire ethernet cable televisions computer cables blank media and whoa blank cassette tapes at this radio shack i can literally buy a cassette deck record onto a blank cassette and if the heads get dirty
